(Heal. Educate. Advocate. Learn. Integrate. Nurture. Grow)
About the Project
This project centers the voices and experiences of midwives across all educational pathways in the U.S. Our goal is to better understand how midwifery education is experienced and to explore possibilities for a more integrated, inclusive model of midwifery training. The inspiration for this work comes directly from years of conversations with aspiring midwives, midwifery students, practicing midwives from all training backgrounds, and midwifery educators. Their insights, questions, and visions for the future of midwifery education have shaped the direction and heart of this project.
We are gathering stories, perspectives, and wisdom from midwives trained through diverse routes. This research is generously funded through a three-year partnership with the Skyline Foundation.
What Participation Involves
If you choose to take part, you may be invited to a one-on-one interview, a group conversation, or a listening session. These spaces are designed to explore your experiences with both classroom-based learning and hands-on clinical training. Interviews typically last around 60 minutes, though they may be longer depending on your availability and comfort. Participation is entirely voluntary, and you are welcome to opt out at any time—your choice will be respected without question.
